Stanley Force
21 June, 2007
Stanley Ghyll Force is a 60 foot high waterfall in a dramatic deep and narrow gorge with rhododendrons on high ledges and precipices. Russ and made our way up the winding path and across the bridges where the final section to the fall had a 'No entry' sign. No entry to others maybe but we were bloggers - photo bloggers, so on we went.

Gary and I had a very long conversation about the use of the 10 stop a couple of days after this was taken. I'm not keen on rules in photography but this is an example of 'inappropriate' use of the filter in that a 270 second exposure hasn't added anything extra to the scene compared to a 1 second exposure that was taken shortly afterwards.
