Keyhaven stone
14 November, 2006
I have a favourite stone on Keyhaven beach and here it is. That's only slightly a little tragic isn't it?! This is a crop of a larger image showing the whole beach at sunrise but I kind of like the play of light in the wave swirls and the tide crawl.

I also like the unpredictability of wave movements when using longish shutter speeds. My approach is to watch for an incoming wave, press the shutter for mirror lock up and release exactly on the moment when the wave retreats. Around a second or so seems to retain some semblance of movement.
