Porthcurno rocks
05 November, 2006
Abstract of rocks at Porthcurno Beach, Cornwall after a quick clamber half way down the cliff side adjacent to the Minack Theatre. The small bay at Porthcurno has sea almost Grecian in colour. I wanted an abstract of the sea washing over the rocks closest to the Minack side of the bay so I used the zoom at 70mm with a 0.9 ND filter to keep the shutter speed to about half a second. The slight 'smudge' off the top of the rocks is in the RAW file - I think it's due to partly submerged rocks. The light at the bay is superb - great for surfing apparently.

Great picture of one of my favourite places at Helen Dixon. I took a shot from a similar viewpoint but without the fab tones. All the more reason to return.
