![]() Clavell Pier 05 September, 2006 Thanks for all your kind comments on yesterday's photo. What I really like doing is clicking to see all the other photoblogs and everyone's images. This is a companion photo to yesterday's - a 90 degree turn would present you with this view. If you’re facing the sea on the entrance to the bay, the Clavell Tower is on your immediate left (this photo was taken below the tower by the side of what’s known as the Clavell Pier). The ledges are all along the coast. I really want a shot of the ledges in a winter catchlight. Mark Bauer has some wonderful photos of the area. The photo was taken some time after sunset (the sun sets way to the north west at this time of year beyond the adjacent headland) looking southward. This is definitively a place to return to in winter and for when there are clouds. When I was here last November there were 4 or 5 photographers all lined up for their shots.
