 latch 10 January, 2006 This is the latch on the 'middle gate', built by my dad, that separates the driveway from the yard at the side of his house. It's just a childhood memory now as it's recently been replaced. The signficance is that when I was young (in the 1960s...) my brother and sister were never allowed to touch the latch in case the gate opened and we ran along the driveway and into the road. It was also a good subject for the very shallow depth of field caused by a f/1.8 aperture on the Canon 50mm prime. Comment (1) | Permalink |
